Alliance Police Department, Nebraska, has partnered with WCCTV to ensure the safety and security of public events via the deployment of mobile solar surveillance trailers.
Alliance Police Department, based in Nebraska, has recently taken delivery of a WCCTV Mobile Solar Surveillance Trailer to assist with a range of public safety and security measures.
Following an extensive bidding process involving three other suppliers, WCCTV emerged as the clear choice to partner with Alliance PD owing to our superior technology platform, ongoing support, and experience working with police departments across the USA.
Funding for the surveillance trailer purchase was sourced via a successful grant bid to the Rural Violent Crime Reduction Initiative, allowing the unit to be purchased at no cost to local taxpayers.
WCCTV's solar surveillance trailers offer law enforcement agencies unparalleled features and benefits. The unit that APD will utilize uses a multi-view camera system.
The primary camera is a pan-tilt-zoom unit with a 40x zoom, while the secondary camera has four fixed views. The unit is also equipped with a PA speaker to enable automated and real-time warning messages, perimeter protection, and other features, including motion notifications.
The unit is fully self-contained. Solar panels keep the unit’s batteries charged, and in the event of inclement weather, the unit can run up to 30 days even when clouds persist.
It also features a range of anti-theft and anti-tamper components, including one camera angle that provides security for the unit at all times. Camera feeds can be accessed in real-time on a desktop computer or via the mobile app thanks to the unit's built-in cellular transmission technology. Video is also stored internally for 30 days before being overwritten.
Speaking on the new trailer unit, an Alliance PD spokesperson stated:
"The Alliance Police Department is excited to bring this technology to our community. The first deployment will be next week at the annual Heritage Days Festival."
"This technology will enable us to keep an eye on crowds and will also serve as a deterrent to criminal activity. Moving forward, the camera can be placed based on crime trends and feedback from the community, including local business owners."
WCCTV's Head of Communications, Daniel del Soldato, also commented on the exciting new partnership, saying:
"We're honored to be working with Alliance Police Department, helping further their mission of creating safer communities and increasing public confidence during major events."
"We are certain that APD will benefit from the versatile nature of our surveillance platform, and they can be assured our customer support team will be on hand every step of the way to ensure their successful deployment of the unit."
Currently working with over 250 police departments, WCCTV continues to be the number one choice for law enforcement surveillance cameras across the USA.
