North Tonawanda in Niagara County has deployed WCCTV’s pole cameras to enhance public safety and security.
The deployment of the cameras follows recently released statistics that highlighted a rise in crime rates. The County required a solution that would help deter criminals and ensure the community remains safe for all residents and visitors.
The new FBI statistics suggest violent crime in Niagara County may have increased as much as 9%, but lawmakers say the numbers can vary significantly year-to-year.
By utilizing WCCTV's portable pole camera units, the County has the flexibility to target key locations where crime has been an issue and where no other security is available.
Bar owner, Greg Stenis states “anything to increase the safety of customers and employers when leaving work late at night is great”.
WCCTV's pole cameras deliver live HD video (up to 1080p) at up to 25 frames per second on a 4G LTE connection. The pole camera will act as a strong deterrent to any would-be-criminals and help curb any anti-social behavior.
